We carry an assortment of unusual games. Many are period for SCA and other historical recreation groups
and have info for the scholar or student. Many are one-of-a-kind or used. If you don’t see something here that you’re
interested in, please ask. We’re creating or finding new game sets all the time!

Alquerque - An ancestor of checkers, played on a 5x5 board

| MARBLES |
|
Marbles - Go back at least to Egypt and Rome and were probably used before. The modern games were invented in the time of the Roman Empire.
$2 - Large Marbles - These come in speckled white and iridescent. These are the size of the old-style "Shooter" marbles.
$4 - "Period" sets - These are for the historical recreationist, a handful of marbles in styles that would have been around in the Renaissance. They come in a period pattern fabric bag with drawstring. (limited availability)

Morris - This is the ancestor of tic-tac-toe, which is the baby version, "3-man Morris". A 9-man board was
found pecked into the roof of Canterbury Cathedral, probably for the workers on "coffee break".

| HACK AND JUGGLE |
|
We carry a limited number of types of juggling equipment, mostly for the beginner or historical recreationist. All of these can be documented in style at least back to the Renaissance.
$10, set of 3 - Juggling bags, 4 panel, 4 inch - Set of 3 - These are full-size, full-weight bags made of vinyl, very tough.
$3 each - Juggling bags, 6-panel, 3 inch - These work well as hacky-sacks or as balls for period games, made of vinyl, very tough. (limited availability)
$2.50 - Star balls, 3 inch - These are rubber bouncing balls in bright colors with starts printed on them. They are great for juggling or ball games.
$2.50 - Animal hacks - The are vinyl with features and added ears, tails, fins or legs. They work well as period children’s toys, hacks, or missile ammo. (Picture the knight who picks a frog out of his armor!) We usually have rabbits, frogs, dogs, cats, fish, and bees in various bright colors.
