$22.00 - A Field Guide to Otherkin by Lupa - The Otherkin community is a small but growing subculture of people who identify in some way--spiritually, metaphorically, etc.--as Other than human. Some resonate with dragons, while others believe they were elves in another life, and still others identify as wolves, great cats, and other animals.
Of course, this all may seem a little odd to those who aren't Otherkin. What do Otherkin believe? Why do we believe these things? How does being Otherkin affect how we relate to the world around us--and ourselves? A Field Guide to Otherkin offers answers straight from over 100 survey respondents, collected by Lupa, herself a wolf therianthrope, and elaborated upon by her.
A Field Guide to Otherkin is designed to inform both Otherkin and non-Otherkin about the community and the people and beliefs that create it. Rather than being a collection of statistics, it is a look into the lives of Otherkin, qualitative rather than quantitative.

$20.00 - Being A Pagan by Ellen Evert Hopman & Lawrence Bond - More than 60 pagan leaders and teachers describe in their own words what they believe and what they practice. Addresses how Pagans view parenting, organized religion, and politics. Introduces the wide range of possibilities within the neo-Pagan movement. Who are the pagans and what do they stand for? Why would some of the members of the best educated, most materially comfortable generation of Americans look back to mystical traditions many millennia old? During the last few decades, millions of people have embraced ancient philosophies that honor Earth and the spiritual power of each individual. Ways of worship from sources as diverse as the pre-Christian Celts, ancient Egypt, and Native American traditions are currently helping their followers find meaning in life while living in the Information Age. In this book Pagan leaders and teachers describe in their own words what they believe and what they practice. From Margot Adler, an NPR reporter and author of Drawing Down the Moon, to Isaac Bonewits, ArchDruid and founder of a modern neo-Druidic organization, those interviewed in this book express the rich diversity of modern Paganism. Hopman`s insightful questions draw on her own experiences as a Pagan and Druid as well as on her extensive research. With coauthor Lawrence Bond, she examines how Pagans address such issues as parenting, organized religion, and politics. The resulting dialogues illuminate the modern Pagan revival.

$23 - Disciples Guide to Ritual Magick - A Beginners Introduction to the High Art by Frater Barrabbas - In The Disciple's Guide to Ritual Magick, Frater Barrabbas uses occult symbology of the past two centuries, mindful of the all the latest developments in Integral Psychology and Philosophy. This book can take the student far beyond the rudimentary magickal practices of the dilettante, and help them to develop a spiritual and magickal discipline that furthers spiritual transformation and conscious evolution. It contains the knowledge necessary for acquiring a competent background in the art of ritual magick, and also a grimoire of magickal rituals and exercises necessary to build a fully workable magickal discipline.
The grimoire of seven rituals, written with an occult context, is the Grail Mythos of the Western Mystery Tradition. Although everyone probably knows the stories about the Quest for the Holy Grail, King Arthur, Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table, there are powerful allegorical undercurrents and occult threads in these tales, that when realized, can become translated into life changing experiences for the magician.
Frater Barrabbas has been working and teaching new forms of Magick for over 35 years, and assisted in starting a magickal lodge where this discipline was taught and practiced. The rituals in the grimoire are based on the rituals that were used by this order, whose lore is also modeled upon the Grail Mythos.
The book provides a compelling and challenging first foundation for the practicing ritual magician that is necessary for the ultimate attainment of knowledge, fulfillments and wisdom

$16.00 - Faith and Magick in the Armed Forces by Stefani Barner - In April of 2007, the Veterans Administration recognized the Pentacle as a religious symbol and allowed its use on military graves. With this giant step forward, Pagans serving in the armed forces are becoming more visible than ever before and will need informed assistance as they continue to defend and practice their faith. Walking the minefield of sometimes-clashing religions and cultures, military Pagans and/or Wiccans need guidance and support as they proudly serve and sacrifice. Some of the many issues that face Pagan military members and their families: relocation, overseas deployment, preparing for combat, working for peace, returning as veterans they are given in-depth examination with thoughtful advice, helpful rituals and meditations, and suggestions for support. Religious freedoms, legal issues, and rights are clarified, and resources for help are provided. Written for members of the military, their families, and for any non-Pagan military personnel who want to become more sensitive to their fellow service-men and women, this essential and comprehensive guide offers practical advice in getting along in a predominantly Christian military.

$22.00 - Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal Magic by Lupa - Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal Magic is Lupa's first published book--but certainly not her last! It is the result of nearly a decade of intense study and practice of animal magics of all sorts. Lupa has also included a guest essay from friend and fellow practitioner, Nicholas Graham, and the artwork is by the incredibly talented Jim Towns.
This isn't your average book on the topic, though. Lupa wanted to provide the working magician, regardless of background, with a guidebook to incorporating animal magic into hir practice. This includes everyone from Chaos magicians to totemists to Wiccans, witches and pagans and so on. She wrote it primarily from the viewpoint of an experimental magician, so it tends to be quite straightforward and matter-of-fact. It's certainly not a boring trip, mind you--amid the information she's scattered some of my best anecdotes from her years of practice.
And controversy -- oh, there'll be room for controversy! Not only does Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal Magic delve into the usual realms of totemism and familiars, creating animal-based entities and shapeshifting, but also the use of animal parts in magic and a (highly disclaimered) chapter on animal sacrifice. Look for other odds and ends like crypto-zoology, pop culture influences, and therianthropy, among much more!
Fang and Fur, Blood and Bone: A Primal Guide to Animal Magic fills in the blanks in the realm of animal magic! (Not recommended for domesticated magicians.)

$22.00 - Gathering the Magic: Creating 21st Century Esoteric Groups by Nick Farrell - Many people on the spiritual path spend their lives looking for an esoteric order or school to join. If they find one they will inevitably find it a hotbed of intrigue and egos that eclipses any spiritual work. Despite this, Nick Farrell believes that esoteric groups are the way forward in the Aquarian Age provided there are fundamental changes in the way they run. The book applies the rules of group dynamics and conflict resolution to set up organisations that not only work but are fun to be involved in.
The Author calls on seekers to set up working esoteric groups of their own instead of waiting to find that perfect group, organisation or teacher.
As the working title suggests, the book is written light-heartedly with plenty of humorous case studies of what happens when things go wrong. It provides seekers with a window of what is happening within esoteric groups and the unique dynamics that take place when two or more gather to look at new age subjects.
This book will prove invaluable to magicians, Wiccans and members of the new age movement who wish to set up a group. It will also help those who more information about how esoteric groups work, and those who are members of organisations and want to know what is going on!
Included in the course is a correspondence course designed to help people integrate with a group mind. There are also practical suggestions for a structure, how to set up a group that creates individuals rather than followers. The author also reveals the secret techniques used by different esoteric groups to connect themselves to the spiritual reality that is behind everything.

$22 - Graeco-Egyptian Magick - Everyday Empowerment by Tony Mierzwicki - Stemming from years of study, practice, and workshops, Graeco-Egyptian Magick is Tony Mierzwicki's first publication through Immanion Press/Megalithica Books! It outlines a daily practice involving planetary Hermeticism, drawn from the original texts and converted into a format that fits easily into the modern magician's practice. In Tony's own words: "As a magickal system, Graeco-Egyptian magick represents the last flowering of paganism before it was wiped out by the Christian juggernaut. It is a hybrid system that blended ancient Sumerian and Egyptian magick with the relatively more modern Greek and Judaic systems".
A recreation of a planetary system of self-initiation using authentic Graeco-Egyptian Magick, as practiced in Egypt during the first five centuries C.E. Including results of four years of workshops in the USA and Australia, this is a practical intermediate level text aimed at those who are serious about their spiritual development and already have grounding in basic spirituality, but beginners who carefully follow the instructions sequentially should not be deterred.

$23 - The Heretic's Guide to Thelema by Gerald del Campo - The Heretic's Guide to Thelema is a trilogy by Gerald Del Campo, which includes the classic New Aeon Magick and the controversial New Aeon English Qabalah. In this edition, we have also included the never before published The Ethics of Thelema!
In New Aeon Magick, Gerald explains his reasons for having chosen Thelema as a magical/philosophical path for guiding his life to the discovery of his true will. Since it was first published, New Aeon Magick has become the foundation of Thelemic philosophical exploration. In addition to a study of mythology to illustrate the function of the Qabalah, exercises are included to help the reader turn theory into practice.
In New Aeon English Qabalah, Gerald demonstrates a highly controversial and experimental method of studying and decoding holy books written in the English language. This method applies the practice of Gematria as well as illustrating how to use the system to develop personal magical squares and sigils for the purposes of invocation or evocation.
In The Ethics of Thelema, the author shares his intimate view of his relationship to the world and his fellow person, as informed by his personal experience with Thelema.
In this book, he covers such topics as love, government, religion, consumerism, and charity, all of which have been informed by his understanding of Thelemic doctrine.
The Heretic's Guide to Thelema provides a fresh, alternative perspective of Thelema and its evolution as a magical and philosophical system.

$45.00 - Mazzaroth Constellations - Rolleston, Frances - The idiosyncratic ideas expressed in the four parts of Mazzaroth, and its appendix Mizraim, are all based on solid research-misapplied, perhaps, in light of Rolleston's steadfast Christian outlook, but fully documented and with sources quoted length. The whole work provides the reader with an amazing compendium of obscure material on ancient mythology, symbolism, and etymology, with comprehensive biblical references and a wealth of learned and detailed footnotes. Much of the information is set out in a tabular form that inevitably reminds the reader of S. L. MacGregor Mathers's book of correspondences that we know as 777. And this may not be coincidental. Foreword by R. A. Gilbert. Fold-out insert. |
