Blackwork Pattern Card Sets

12 cards with explanatory wrapper – $6.00

Each card set has patterns printed on one side and information, instructions and documentation on the other.

They are available in 3 levels of interest and difficulty, marked on the wrapper (and in this catalogue) as "Beginner", "Category" or "Documentation" card sets.

All cards are drilled to accept various forms of fasteners. One or two inch book rings are recommended and come free with a complete series purchase.

Clear overlays to provide a grid may be made available, if there is enough interest.

Three Levels of Difficulty
Beginner	These card sets have walk-you-through-it directions so that a beginner with only a little experience can learn and do the patterns with ease.
Category	These card sets are all patterns of a single type (e.g. leaves or narrow trims) that point out and explain the possible problems.
Documentation	These card sets are a secondary source, as they are re-drawings from an original. This level contains no "how-to" information, but comments about the source and style.

Series A, sets 1-12

The 1st printing of Series A(8x8-to-the-inch) has partly sold out so no complete sets are available. This series, being the first one produced, no longer matches my standards for quality, therefore the cards, as the old printing sells out, are being withdrawn, re-mastered and printed in a new format. I apologise for any delays caused by this, but feel that the better quality is worth it. Having made some severe changes in format with my new software, the 2nd edition sets (10x10 dot-grid) are also being re-mastered and revised as they sell out, so that all the cards follow the same format. Until the re-mastering is finished, Series A, Complete will come with some of each printing.

Set 2	First steps in Blackwork, beginning side trips These first two sets are a primer for reversible blackwork, a graded series of patterns that also include the various tricks for beginning and ending thread and other useful information along with 87 patterns & variations.

Complete printed series A (set 1-12) with book ring $60.00. (There will be occasional delays in shipping until all sets are re-mastered and printed.)

Series B, Accessory card sets
(25 cards, grid on one side, lines for notes on the other)

These sets are intended for your own use, to keep patterns gleaned from friends or books in a similar format to the ones that you already have.

Series C, sets 17-28
This series is just beginning to be printed. The two that are "out" are #21 & #28 and are 2nd edition.
