Pamphlet #1 has no patterns included except the ones that dress up the text. It is an introduction to the series and has suggestions on what kinds of tools & containers are needed in the well-dressed workbasket, what tools will make your work easier, how to use & care for them and where to find them. Pointers to easy-to-make but hard-to-find projects that are also of this series are included in the text. In the rest of the series un-gridded embroidery patterns are scattered through the text and on a jumble page of various useable motifs. Patterns are given full-size for most of the projects. Where this is not feasible, or perhaps not necessary, complete instructions are given on how to cut the pieces and sizes. Some history of the tool/project and of related items is included. In many cases part of the information from these pamphlets in abridged in the related kits, noted below.
